The ORIGINAL Extreme Sport!

The STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series is established worldwide as the major league of logger sports, with a massive global fan-base following competitive events live and on TV.

The sport originated in Canada, the USA and New Zealand, where lumberjacks held local competitions to determine the best of their profession. Over time these tests of strength and skill evolved to a professional level and in 1985 the first STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series Championships were held in the USA.

In Canada, STIHL TIMBERSPORTS has consistently grown from a niche sport in the lumberjack community to a National Tour with over 15 competitions from east to west.

Each year the tour Canadian Series celebrates a Canadian Championship with the top Pro, Women and Rookie athletes from all over the country. In the Championship we crown a Canadian Champion and a Canadian Team who will represent the country at the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS World Championship in the fall.

The Canadian Tour ends in the fall with the production and broadcast of a TV series that is broadcasted nationally on TSN with footage from the Canadian Championship, the World Championship, interviews and behind the scenes with Team Canada.

The STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Canadian Series wouldn't be possible without the strong commitment from the Athletes, judges, staff, and volunteers.
